Steve has been writing and recording songs for many years. His back catalogue starts around 1978 with his first studio album, “Freefall.” More recently he compiled his personal favourites in a double album, “Musicology.”

This album sees Steve's collaboration with After The Fire guitarist, John Russell, whose superb guitar playing lights up this album. John toured in India as lead guitarist in Steve's band playing to large audiences in college campuses and concert venues across the country.

Fighting Back was released in conjunction with Steve's last tour in India. He brought together friends and family and formed his backing band Warrior, who also feature on this album. It's all about "making waves", "stirring hearts", "fighting back!". Steve's passion for the needs of people in some of the poorest areas of the world comes through in his song writing.
