The Story Goes On...

sing! Shout! Roar! You have a voice!

I have spent most of my life seeking to give people a voice, especially those on the margins, the disadvantged, the under- privileged and the under-protected. This quest has taken me all over the world to some of the poorest locations on earth.

Punching Holes In The Darkness.

I invite you to come with me on the journey, to switch on a few lights and punch holes in the darkness! Take a look around my website, and get in touch, it would be great to hear from you.

Lighting The Beacons is Steve's 10th studio album which was released on 18th October, 2025 at Quainton Church, raising £1,400 for his two parish churches in Quainton and Oving. There are 18 new songs on the album, and it's available on Spotify and other streaming services and is also available on CD for those who remember how to use them!

The last few years...

In 2010, together with his wife Sarah and the team from Immanuel Church, he was involved in the re-opening of a derelict church on a decommissioned National Health Service site at Graylingwell in Chichester on the south coast of England.  Steve and Sarah moved on from Immanuel Church, Graylingwell Chapel, in September 2016 to take up new positions near Oxford, as mentioned above. Immanuel Church continues to be a dynamic and growing community of people committed to serving God by serving others. In October 2016, Steve was appointed Team Vicar in two beautiful rural parishes near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. His wife Sarah, who is also ordained in the Anglican Church, studied at Oxford University through Wycliffe Hall, then becoming Chaplain at Wycliffe. She is now working for the Diocese of Oxford as part of the Missions Team as Team Leader for the New Worshipping Communities initiative across the diocese. Life continues to hold its challenges alongside faith stretching experiences!

Community Choirs

It all started with a dream! I had watched an amazing Welsh choir sing "Guide Me O Thou Great Jehovah," accompanied by creative lighting and pyrotechnics! I was so affected by this that I sat upright in bed that night singing that song - much to the surprise of my long suffering wife! I decided this was a "God Moment" and put invitations around our community to come and sing pop, rock and soul music. After a few months, and almost entirely by word of mouth, we had a community choir with 200 members meeting in an old chapel. I ended up leading five choirs in West Sussex together with excellent singer and conducter, Emma Barnes (now Eberhardt). Today I lead one 50 strong choir in my village of Quainton. We love it!
